Danielle O'Niel
 
Danielle O’Neill is a freshman at Bishop Feehan High School this year and honored to be recognized by the Karen Young Scholarship Committee. Danielle lives in Franklin, MA with her sister, Kathleen, mother, Beth, and father, Kevin.  She enjoys working in the Best Buddies program, which is a program that helps children who have mental and/or physical challenges in their life. Joining the Art Club was an activity she enjoyed in Middle School and looks forward to more art related opportunities, such as Graphic Arts, in High School. She also loves to make jewelry which she sells and donates to charity. Danielle plays sports such as gymnastics and softball.  In her free time, she will read books and spend time with her friends and sister.

Shannon Dempsey lives in Mansfield, Massachusetts and recently graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School. While at St. Mary’s, Shannon was Vice President of student council and a High Honor student. She also received the Father George Bellenoit award. This award is given to one student who achieved excellent scholastic ratings, proved to be outstanding in two or more athletics, and measured up to the standings of a good Christian on and off the field of play.

 

Shannon was on the Basketball Team which went on to win the Catholic Athletic League Championship. She ran cross country and was co-captain of the track team, which won its first Division Championship. In addition to academics, physical fitness is an important part of Shannon’s life.  She has consistently been awarded the Presidential Fitness Award.

 

Shannon finds great satisfaction in volunteering at the Mansfield Food Pantry, and is an active member of the St. Mary’s Youth Group. She enjoys golf, tennis, shopping, and traveling and is an avid reader and loves fashion.

 

Shannon looks forward to continuing the principles of Sanctity, Scholarship, and Sportsmanship at Bishop Feehan High School.
